Psalms 19:14
“14 Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.”
The Importance of Right Words- Part 5
1 Peter 1:18-21
“18 Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;
19 But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:
20 Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,
21 Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.”
When we stop to consider that we have been bought with the precious blood of Jesus Christ, we can certainly understand the importance and in fact the necessity of honouring God with our words and our meditation. When we allow God to direct our words and our thoughts, we (the saved) will know God’s peace in our hearts. When we speak without letting God direct our words and our thoughts, we will be troubled in our hearts if we are truly born again. We will know we are grieving the heart of God. God’s design for His children is to enjoy unhindered fellowship with Him and with His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. It is one of the many blessings that His children can have now and each day. Are you enjoying this blessing in your life today? If not, God is able to give you that blessing through His salvation and then through obedience to His Word.
